Agent Coulson steps behind the camera for his second directorial effort.
It has been announced that actor/director Clark Gregg (‘Choke’) is writing, directing and starring in ‘Trust Me,’ a dark comedy that sees the ‘Avengers Assemble’ star heading up an ensemble cast featuring Amanda Peet (‘The Way, Way Back’), Paul Sparks (‘Boardwalk Empire’), Felicity Huffman (‘Transamerica’), Allison Janney (‘The Help’), William H. Macy (‘The Sessions’), Molly Shannon (‘Hotel Transylvania’), Niecy Nash (‘Reno 911!’) and Sam Rockwell (‘Seven Psychopaths’).
Currently in production in Los Angeles, the film tells a story of a loser agent for young actor – and washed-up child star himself – who stumbles upon a brilliant 13-year-old prodigy (played by newcomer Saxon Sharbino) and then tries to close the mega-deal that will make her a star while managing her drunk volatile father, the poaching attempts of a more successful nemesis and a growing awareness that his innocent young starlet may not be at all what she seems.
‘Trust Me’ is being produced by Mary Vernieu and Gregg under their newly established banner, Savage Bunny, along with Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios, and Keith Kjarval of Unified Pictures, with Margot Hand as co-producer and Rockwell serving as executive producer.
