ZOMBIELAND Scribes Developing SPIDERHEAD As Directorial Debut

Screenwriting duo planning directing debut…

The folks over at FilmDivider are hearing word that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the screenwriters behind ‘Zombieland’ and the upcoming ‘Deadpool’ film, are stepping behind the camera for ‘Spiderhead.’

Based on the George Saunders-short story ‘Escape from Spiderhead,’ the sci-fi tale is set inside an prison colony where the inmates become lab rats, being treated with a variety of cutting-edge drugs: Verbaluce, which induces lucidity; the aphrodisiac like Vivistif; and Darkenfloxx, which causes extreme mental and physical distress.

The film would serve as Reese and Wernick’s directorial debut.
