Actress acquires rights to mystery thriller.
‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ actress Zoe Saldana and producers Jane Startz and Aida Bernal have optioned the rights to Joy Castro‘s debut novel ‘Hell Or High Water,’ reports Deadline.
Published earlier this year, Castro’s mystery thriller follows New Orleans reporter Nola Céspedes “as she is dragged into the city’s post-Katrina underworld on the trail of what she thinks will be her big scoop.”
Saldana and her sister Cisley will produce via their Saldana Productions banner with Startz and Bernal producing through their respective banners, Jane Startz Productions and Spellbound Entertainment. The producers have yet to decide if the novel is best suited for a feature adaptation or a mini-series.
