Those loveable aliens from the Planet Zog are back!
Double Z Productions and animation company Flickerpix have announced plans to begin production on ‘Zig and Zag: The Animated Series.’
Comprising of at least 26 episodes, each with a runtime of 11-mintues, the lavishly animated and vibrant series revolves around the adventures of the alien odd couple as they struggle to fit in with life on earth – following Zag’s unending quest for glory and his brother Zig’s attempts to use his tiny but overactive brain to help out.
Zig and Zag creators Ciaran Morrison and Mick O’Hara will write the series, along with voicing the characters.
The project will be funded by RTÉ and CBBC along with the Irish Film Board and Northern Ireland Screen. Ronan McCabe of Double Z Productions and David Cumming of Flickerpix will produce, with Joel Simon, creative director at Flickerpix, directing.
