X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Casts Oscar Isaac As Titular Villain

‘Days Of Future Past’ sequel finds its big bad…

Multiple outlets are reporting that Oscar Isaac (‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens,’ ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’) has scored the title villain role in Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse.’

Set to feature Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique and James McAvoy’s Professor Xavier, along with the rest of the mutant players, the 1980s-set blockbuster sees the X-Men going up against their most formidable foe yet – En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse. Younger incarnations of Jean Grey, Storm, and Cyclops will also make an appearance.

“‘Apocalypse’ will have more of the mass destruction that ‘X-Men’ films, to date, have not relied upon,” Singer recently said. “There’s definitely now a character and a story that allow room for that kind of spectacle.”

Isaac will next be seen starring alongside Jessica Chastain in ‘A Most Violent Year,’ J.C. Chandor’s crime drama which opens at Irish cinemas January 23rd 2015.
