WOLF OF WALL STREET Star in Talks for TARZAN

Actress in talks for female lead…

TheWrap has learned that Australian actress Margot Robbie (‘The Wolf of Wall Street,’ ‘About Time,’ ‘Neighbours’) has entered into negotiations for the role of Jane in Warner Bros’ big-budget remake of ‘Tarzan.’

With David Yates directing and Alexander Skarsgård (‘What Maisie Knew,’ ‘True Blood’) playing the king of the jungle, the new take on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic novel series follows the famous “ape man” Tarzan years after he’s re-assimilated into society. Asked by England’s Queen Victoria to investigate the goings-on in the Congo, Tarzan teams up with an ex-mercenary named George Washington Williams to save the Congo from a fierce warlord who controls a massive diamond mine.

Christoph Waltz (‘Django Unchained’) and Samuel L. Jackson (‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’) are expected to co-star.

Jerry Weintraub and Alan Riche are on board to produce, with Mike Richardson serving as executive producer alongside Yates.
