WINTER

Three new additions for the fantasy tale.

Award winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman has rounded out the cast of his directorial debut ‘Winter’s Tale’ by adding Matt Bomer (‘White Collar’), Lucy Griffiths (‘True Blood’) and Oscar-winning actress Eva Marie Saint (‘North by Northwest’). They join a cast that includes Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay (‘Downton Abbey’), William Hurt, Russell Crowe and Will Smith.

Set in both nineteenth-century and present-day Manhattan, the film is an adaptation of Mark Helprin’s 1983 magical-realism novel of the same name and sees Findlay playing Beverly Penn, a dying young woman who falls in love with a thief who breaks into her palatial home on the West Side mansion.

According to Deadline, Bomer and Griffiths will be playing Farrell’s parents. Details on Saint’s role have yet to be revealed.

Production is scheduled to begin in Manhattan on October 27th with Marc Platt (‘Drive,’ ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’) and Michael Tadross (‘Gangster Squad,’ ‘Sherlock Holmes’) producing.
