We have tickets up for grabs to the Star Wars event happening in Dublin this Easter
ABOUT THE EVENT
Dust off your lightsabers and prepare yourself for menacing sith lords, bounty hunters, commanders and generals as Dublin witnesses the invasion of intergalactic troops in time for Invasion Dublin, Ireland’s largest celebration of all things Star Wars, which takes place over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend 23rd – 25th April in Dublin’s RDS.
In this far away galaxy, Star Wars fans, sci-fi enthusiasts and families alike will have the opportunity to view the highest caliber props and backdrops by Emerald Garrison, as well as amazing life-size Star Wars sets including Y Wing fighter, Scout Walker (20ft tall), Skiff (30ftlong), Emperors Throne Room Set (16ftx10ft), Cantina Band Set with Band Members (14ftx10ft) a fully working R2D2 Droid a Deathstar Wall Set and much more….
Forged as legends and outlandish in appearance, the costume characters and galactic heroes will be on hand to perform re-enactments and drills from the movies and visitors will also be able to view memorabilia, comics, books, DVDs, artwork, costumes, galactic treasure, toys, artifacts and other material.
The Invasion brand is so strong that seven actors from the original Star Wars movies will all be on site to meet and greet and sign autographs for the fans including, R2-D2 (aka Kenny Baker), Boba Fett (aka Jeremy Bulloch), Biggs Darklighter (aka Garrick Hagon), Jedi Master Eeth Koth (aka Hassani Shapi), General Veers (aka Julian Glover), Tarfful the Wookie (aka Michael John Kingma) and Greedo (aka Paul Blake).
Invasion Dublin is also thrilled to welcome the Director of Content Management and Head of Fan Relations at Lucasfilm, Stephen J. Sansweet. Steven is the author of sixteen books, fourteen of them about Star Wars and is also the owner of the world’s largest private collection of Star Wars memorabilia.

There were three Invasion events last year, each one attracting over 12,000 visitors who witnessed the craftmanship of the props and the detail and quality of the character costumes.
