Willem Dafoe Patton Oswalt and Addison Timlin Join ODD THOMAS

Nico Tortorella also is in negotiations to join the supernatural thriller starring Anton Yelchin.

Willem Dafoe (‘Antichrist,’ ‘Platoon’), Patton Oswalt (‘Big Fan,’ ‘Ratatouille’) and Addison Timlin (‘Californication’) are set to join ‘Odd Thomas,’ Stephen Sommers’ adaptation of Dean Koontz’s bestselling novel.

The supernatural thriller centers on a short-order cook/clairvoyant named Odd Thomas who can commune with the dead, a secret shared only his girlfriend and the local police chief know. Anton Yelchin (‘Fright Night,’ ‘Star Trek’) is already signed to the movie, playing the titular Thomas.

Dafoe will play Wyatt Porter, the local police chief. Patton takes the role of Oswald “Ozzie” P. Boone, an eccentric artist who designs sculptures, including a steel pendant that the titular clairvoyant hero wears around his neck. Timlin will play the protagonist’s girlfriend.

Nico Tortorella (‘Twelve’) is in talks for the role of the movie’s villain, an officer working under Dafoe, who is secretly a member of a Satanic cult bent on destroying the town. Tortorella will be next seen in the horror sequel ‘Scream 4.’

The movie is set to begin shooting in Mexico in May.
