Two-time Oscar nominee boards the Keanu Reeves-led thriller.
Willem Dafoe (‘Nymphomaniac,’ ‘A Most Wanted Man,’ ‘The Boondock Saints’) has landed a role opposite Keanu Reeves in the hitman thriller ‘John Wick,’ says Deadline.
Scripted by Derek Kolstad, the film sees Reeves playing the titular character, “a former hitman whose killer instincts are reawakened after a thug steals his 1969 Ford Mustang and in the process kills the dog given to him by his late wife. Wick tracks the man to New York, where the thug’s father, a crime boss, puts a bounty on his head.”
Dafoe will be taking the role of Marcus, a fellow hitman and close friend of Reeves’ character who is hired to kill him.
