Will Forte & Claudia O’Doherty Join Irish Supernatural Comedy EXTRA ORDINARY

‘The Last Man on Earth’ star Will Forte and Aussie actress, writer, and comedian Claudia O’Doherty (‘Love,’ ‘Trainwreck’) have joined the cast of writer-directors Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman supernatural comedy ‘Extra Ordinary,’ Deadline has learned.

Starring Irish talent including Maeve Higgins (‘Naked Camera,’ ‘Moone Boy’) and Barry Ward (‘Maze,’ ‘Jimmy’s Hall’), the film follows Rose Dooley, “a driving instructor who must use her otherwordly gifts to save a lonely man’s daughter from a rock star looking to use her for Satanic purposes.”

Mary McEvoy, Risteárd Cooper, Alison Spittle, and ‘Derry Girls’ scene stealer Siobhán McSweeney are also on board.

“We are delighted we have somehow convinced an incredible group of actors and funny people we really admire, along with an amazing crew and some random folk that we just wanted to meet, to join our fever dream and make this mysterious romantic oddball ghost story love comedy adventure film,” Ahern and Loughman said in a statement. “The timely script obviously hit home as it shines a light on important, serious issues like that of haunted rubbish bins in rural Ireland.”

The film, which is shooting in Ireland now, is a co-production between Dublin-based production house Blinder Films and Canada’s Umedia. Financing comes from The Irish Film Board, UMedia and Inevitable Pictures.

Ahern and Loughman – aka D.A.D.D.Y, are best known for their work on commercials and music videos for the likes of Bloc Party, Ash, Jape, We Are Scientists and Warlords of Pez.
