Ferrell attached to untitled comedy…
Variety is hearing that Will Ferrell (‘Anchorman,’ ‘The Spoils of Babylon,’ ‘The LEGO Movie’) is being lined up to star in Sony’s recently acquired Shakespearean theatre comedy.
Based on an original idea by David Guion and Michael Handelman, the as-yet-untitled comedy centres around “the intense, competitive world inside a Shakespearean theatre company.”
Michael De Luca and Jonathan Kadin are overseeing for Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Ferrell will next be seen starring alongside Kevin Hart in the Etan Cohen-directed comedy ‘Get Hard,’ when it arrives in Irish cinemas March 27th 2015.
