‘Anchorman’ star will produce and topline the comedy…
Will Ferrell (‘The Lego Movie,’ ‘The Campaign’) is teaming up with ‘Bad Neighbours’ scribes Brendan O’Brien and Andrew J. Cohen for the comedy pitch ‘The House.’
Per THR, Ferrell is playing a man who sets up an illegal casino in his basement after he and his wife blow their daughter’s college fund. Cohen will take the director’s chair for the comedy, marking his feature film directing debut.
In addition to starring, Ferrell will produce the comedy alongside his Gary Sanchez partner Adam McKay. Chris Henchy and Jessica Elbaum will serve as executive producers. The team is looking to get cameras rolling in August.
Ferrell next appears opposite Kevin Hart in ‘Get Hard,’ opening in Irish cinemas March 27th 2015.
