Will Ferrell May Enroll for CRAZY U

Ferrell lined up for college comedy.

Deadline has learned that New Line Cinema has acquired the screen rights to Andrew Ferguson book’s ‘Crazy U: One Dad’s Crash Course In Getting His Kid Into College,’ with plans to develop the project as a starring vehicle for Will Ferrell (‘Case De Mi Padre,’ ‘Step Brothers’).

Released last year, the book chronicles Ferguson’s adventures in “trying to brave the cutthroat competition to get his son accepted into the perfect college.”

The comedy will be produced by Kevin Misher of Misher Films along with Ferrell and his Gary Sanchez partners Adam McKay and Jessica Elbaum. A screenwriter and director have yet to be announced.
