Ed Helms starring and producing…
THR is reporting that ‘Dodgeball’ and ‘We’re the Millers’ director Rawson Marshall Thurber has closed a deal to take the director’s chair for the Ed Helms top-lined spy comedy ‘Central Intelligence.’
Originally set up with Dean Parisot (‘Red,’ ‘Galaxy Quest’) behind the camera, the film centres on “an accountant (Helms) who, after reconnecting with an old friend via Facebook, is thrown into the world of international espionage.”
The script, by Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen, has had polishes from Peter Steinfeld, and Thrubers’ ‘We’re The Millers’ scribes Sean Anders and John Morris. Scott Stuber, Peter Principato and Paul Young are on board as producers, with Helms executive producing.
