At the genetically engineered Splice hits Irish screens, we look at what similar films will prepare you for SPLICE

Superstar genetic engineers Clive played by Adrien Brody and Elsa (Sarah Polley) specialize in splicing together DNA from different animals to create incredible new hybrids. Now these wacky scientists are looking to combine human DNA in a hybrid that could revolutionize science and medicine.

The result: Dren, an amazing, strangely beautiful creature that exhibits uncommon intelligence and an array of unexpected physical developments. In the former, a scientific team receives a transmission detailing an alien DNA structure, along with instructions on how to splice it with human DNA.
