Wayne Kramer’s fills outs cast of dark comedy ensemble.
Paul Walker, Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser, Elijah Wood, Vincent D’Onofrio, Pell James and Thomas Jane have all signed up to star in ‘Running Scared’ director Wayne Kramer’s dark comedy ’Pawn Shop Chronicles.’
Described as “a hillbilly ‘Pulp Fiction,’” the film will feature interconnected stories that centre on “a missing wedding ring which leads to a wild-goose chase involving meth addicts, skinheads and an Elvis impersonator.”
Lukas Haas, Chi McBride, Ashlee Simpson, Kevin Rankin, DJ Qualls, Michael Cudlitz and Norman Reedus will round out the cast. The screenplay was penned by actor-turned-writer Adam Minarovich.
“This is a superbly written mind-bender of a story that grabs you from the first line, and doesn’t let go,” said producer Jordan Schur. “We are incredibly fortunate to have found Wayne Kramer to present it, and equally thrilled with the diverse and talented cast assembled.”
