Mark Wahlberg (‘Ted 2,’ ‘The Gambler’) has closed a deal to take the male lead in ‘Partners,’ a buddy action comedy scripted by Evan Turner.
Deadline has Wahlberg playing “an LAPD detective who falls for a beautiful woman after a one-night stand. Then he learns she is an FBI agent and his new boss on a high profile case.” The film likened to ‘Mr and Mrs. Smith,’ with big action set pieces.
Leverage Entertainment’s Stephen Levinson will produce. The hunt is on for the female lead and a director.
Wahlberg’s latest offering, ‘Daddy’s Home’ co-starring Will Ferrell, hits Irish cinemas December 26th.
