Wahlberg and Ferrell May Reteam for DADDY’S HOME

‘The Other Guys’ co-stars to reunite for comedy…

Mark Wahlberg is reportedly being lined up to replace Vince Vaughn opposite Will Ferrell in the Paramount Pictures comedy ‘Daddy’s Home.’

The comedy sees Ferrell playing “a mild-mannered radio executive who strives to become the best stepdad ever to his wife’s two children. Complications ensue when their freewheeling, freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing the stepdad to compete for the affection of the kids.”

Last we heard, the comedy was to be directed by Ethan Cohen, from a script he co-wrote with Brian Burns, Adam McKay, and Chris Henchy, now Deadline has learned that ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ helmers Sean Anders and John Morris are in talks to direct.

Ferrell and Adam McKay are producing via their Gary Sanchez Productions banner. Henchy, Kevin Messick and Jessica Elbaum will serve as executive producers.

Wahlberg will next be seen starring alongside our own Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz in Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ when it hits Irish cinemas July 10th.
