Director Garth Jennings talks about the feel-good-hit ‘Son of Rambow’ – on DVD from August 11th.
The creative double-act, Hammer & Tongs, reunite for one of this year’s finest feel-good films. Director Garth Jennings (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and producer Nick Goldsmith return for ‘Son of Rambow’, the British coming-of-age tale of two young boys obsessed with the Rambo film “First Blood”. The two set out on a mission to make their own makeshift sequel in this hilarious and often touching story of friendship and boyhood dreams.
Partially based on Jennings’ own childhood, Movies.ie spoke to the director about his struggle to finance the film, Stallone’s take of ‘Son of Rambow’ and making the cult classic ‘Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’
