Star Trek’s Karl Urban for Judge Dredd
Karl Urban has reportedly been offered the lead in the 3D Judge Dredd movie.
The actor – who will reprise his role as Bones McCoy in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek sequel – is rumoured to be donning the iconic visor and helmet as the intimidating law enforcement officer in the forthcoming 3D movie, reported Bleeding Cool.t.
Producer Andrew Macdonald and screenwriter Alex Garland, who both worked on Sunshine and 28 Days Later, are part of the Judge Dredd creative team along with Travis.
The character, created by John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra and Pat Mills, first appeared in a 2000AD science fiction anthology in 1977.
