Twin Peaks Returns

David Lynch talks about missing ‘Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me’ scenes

According to David Lynch, fans of the cult show “Twin Peaks” may be in for a treat ,with the director hoping that an array of deleted scenes from cult movie spin-off “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” may finally be released.

Fans of the cult hit have spent years campaigning for the scenes to be made available from the 1992 spin-off movie, which functioned as both a prequel and sequel to the iconic television series.

Co-creator Lynch recently told reporters that he is hopeful of a release. “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is owned by a company called MK2 in France,” he said, “and I spoke to them a couple of months ago. I’ve spoke to them several times about this… [and] I think it will happen.”

However, Lynch added that the recession could prolong the wait, saying: “Maybe the financial crisis is affecting that in some way. I’m not sure what’s going on. I’m pretty sure there’s 17 scenes in that at least but its been a while since we’ve looked into that.”
