This is England star joins Harper’s directorial debut.
‘This is England’, ‘Somers Town’ star Thomas Turgoose will topline Tom Harper’s directorial debut ‘The Scouting Book for Boys.’
Set in a seaside town, the film centres on a young boy, who finds himself in trouble when he helps a young girl to run away from home. Jack Thorne (Skins) wrote the screenplay for the pic. Christian Colson and Ivana Mackinnon will produce the film.
Susan Lynch and newcomer Holliday Grainger will also star. Further casting is underway.
Turgoose came to the fore as a plucky young skinhead in Shane Meadows’ ‘This Is England. He next stars in Meadow’s latest film ‘Somers Town’, in cinemas from Friday, August 22nd.
