Sequel getting fast tracked with new scribe.
Heat Vision is reporting that Jesse Wigutow (‘It Runs in the Family’) has being tapped to write a new draft for the next installment in the ‘Tron’ franchise.
The sequel to Joseph Kosinski’s 2010 reboot ‘Tron: Legacy’ is being developed with a renewed purpose under Alan Horn, who took over the reins of Disney Studios in June. Plot details are being kept under wraps.
Wigutow is no stranger to Disney, having worked with the studio on its adaptation of ‘Peter and the Starcatchers’ and ‘Parallel.’ The scribe also recently worked on Relativity Media’s gestating remake of ‘The Crow’ and Summit Entertainment’s remake of ‘The Osterman Weekend,’ the latter of which he co-wrote with Simon Kinberg.
