Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci team for ‘Licence To Steal’
Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have signed on produce action-comedy Licence To Steal.
The project, based on a Salon.com article by Marc Weingarten, centres on the high end of the reposition business, which sees agents sent across the world to reclaim lavish purchases such as private jets and speedboats.
Kurtzman and Orci will oversee development of the script, to be written by Shane Salerno (Armageddon).
“We’re thrilled to be working with Shane, a wildly inventive and talented creator,” said Kurtzman and Orci. “His passion was clear the minute he started telling his story. He has crafted a smart, lighthearted action movie that’s fun and topical, with a ton of unexpected plot twists.”
