Transformers 3 in 3D February 4, 2010 Bay looking to film Transformers 3 in 3D Michael Bay is reportedly looking to make his next Transformers movie in 3D.. Bay and visual effects firm Industrial Light & Magic are said to be in discussion about producing the next robot blockbuster using the latest digital techniques . The ongoing talks are to decide if Transformers 3 should be filmed with 3D cameras or converted to the format after production is completed. Bay recently commented that: “The way I shoot is too aggressive for 3D cameras. It’s a time-consuming thing,” he said. “Who knows… it might be a fad. I’m kind of old school. I’m old school because I like to shoot on film. I like anamorphic lenses, and that is old school.” The follow-up to Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is scheduled to open on July 1, 2011.
