Filmed in Dublin, Wicklow and Limerick last Summer, the film is inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Russell Crowe) and follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.
Arriving in Irish cinemas April 7, THE POPE’S EXORCIST also stars Laurel Marsden, River Hawkins, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe, and Franco Nero with Ralph Ineson voicing the “Demon.”
