Toy Story 4 plans hinted at by Tom Hanks

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the toy chest.

Tom Hanks let plans for another Toy Story movie slip out while promoting his new movie ‘Larry Crowne’.

Speaking to radio station Magic 105.4 Hanks said “I think they are trying to do another one. The spirit afoot is to make a fourth”. Backtracking slightly Hanks went on to say “I’ll wait until they blow white smoke out of the chimney or whatever it is that says there’s another Toy Story coming down the pipe.”

Then later on BBC Breakfast news Hanks was asked the same question and answered with “I think there will be. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. They’re working on it now. There you go.”

Last week Pixar announced a mystery/non-sequel movie would be released in 2013. Click here for more. So the earliest possible date for Toy Story 4 would be summer 2014.

Meanwhile a Toy Story short will play before Cars 2, which opens in Irish cinemas next month. Check out a clip from Toy Story Vacation here.
