Entertainment.ie is having a screening of Safe House, Wednesday evening in Cineworld. The luck has not been mine recently. I'd love to go if anyone has a spare ticket.

Far as I know no one has tickets for the Jameson Cult Film Club screening of Resevoir Dogs, at least not yet. Go to their website and sign up. I've entereted a few competitions and so have my friends who won tickets to previous screenings and none of us have received confirmation yet.
Go to the Facebook page for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival and enter the competitions for more chances to win, every day.

It always disappoints me how many empty seats there are at these free screenings. Maybe 3/4 full, maybe, probably less than that.
Maybe it wouldn't be as bad if the Sunday Times told people earlier rather than the same morning, or maybe the 630 start time is too difficult for people trying to get from work.
It only makes me more willing to turn up on spec and try to blag my way in more often even if I don't win tickets.

This is so true ive been to a good few screenings and only on a couple of ocasions have they been full, i cant see how giving out tickets on the day of the screening helps!! and why start any screening at 6:30 is beyond me. I for one would hate for a ticket to go to waste and tought that at least 1 person mite be interested but i guess it was a bit late in the day. ah well i hope not to be missing to many in future :-)

I have to say that i couldn't agree with you more :(

I absolutely love movie screenings and i hate when i go to them and they are only half full. I was at Black Gold (which was quite good) and it was less than half full. What bugs me more is that the guestlist was completely full but most didn't turn up, which means there are tons of people out there winning tickets and they are going to waste which is such a shame. I think if we ever get spares even at the last minute, we should stick them up here. Personally i find the 6.30 ones ideal for me but i understand that they don't suit everyone. It just bugs me so much when a free screening is held and tickets are wasted. Most people on this website would gladly avail of them as we are all movie mad (well i am anyway!)
