Lara Croft IS returning to the big screen

Just
days after web reports that Transformers hottie Megan Fox was being
lined up to replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, (which her reps
deny), THR writes that a big screen reboot is in the works.


Warner Bros. and producer Dan Lin (Sherlock Holmes and Terminator: Salvation) are developing the reboot.


Paramount
(US) made the previous instalments Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara
Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, but let the rights lapse,
meaning they have now reverted to game Publisher Eidos. When Warner
upped their stake in the publisher in December, the film rights were
part of the deal.


 

The studio will now begin looking for a writer, a director and a star to play the iconic archaeologist,
