Duo set for family-friendly feature.
Award winning British writer/director duo Tom Jenkins and Simon Sharp have been hired by Sony Pictures to make their feature debut with ‘Giants,’ reports Deadline.
The story centres on the Giants, alien race from the planet Gigantus. When their home planet is attacked by a foreign spacecraft, the Giants send out a team of soldiers on a mission to Earth in order to wage war. The aggressors are taken aback when they realize that while they were giants on their home planet, they are 1/4 inch tall compared to earthlings, and the foreign spacecraft that attacked them was actually a loose screw from the Hubble telescope. The miniscule aliens wind up bonding with a young nerdy boy.
Jenkins and Sharp run the London-based commercial production house The Theory and are best known for their two short films that became big viral hits: ‘Address Is Approximate’ and ‘Speed Of Light.’
