Tom Hardy to Climb EVEREST with Doug Liman

Hardy to headline Liman-directed project.

‘Lawless’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ star Tom Hardy has entered into talks with Sony Pictures to take the lead in ‘Everest,’ reports Deadline.

An adaptation of Jeffrey Archer’s 2009 non-fiction book ‘Paths Of Glory’ that has Doug Liman attached to direct, the film will tell the story of George Mallory, an English mountaineer who took part in the first three British expeditions to scale Mount Everest in the early 1920s.

The adaptation was penned by Sheldon Turner (‘Up In The Air’) and will be produced by Jennifer Klein and Liman’s producing partner Dave Bartis.

Plan is for Liman to start shooting ‘Everest’ after he finishes up on his sci-fi actioner ‘All You Need is Kill’ with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
