Tobey turns Producer

Kirk, an average Joe, can’t believe his luck. He’s stuck in a seemingly dead-end job as an airport security agent. Against all odds, Molly, a successful and outrageously gorgeous babe, falls for him. Kirk is stunned. So are his friends, his family and even his ex-girlfriend. Now, he has to figure out how to make the relationship work, even though he’d be the first to admit she’s totally out of his league.

Spiderman’s Tobey Maguire seems to be leaving the acting world behind with his name attached to yet another film as producer.

After signing on last week to produce ‘Afterburn’, he has purchased the film rights to Lori Gottlieb’s article ‘Marry Him! The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough’.

It reports that Gottlieb will turn her Atlantic Monthly article into a book for publishers Dutton titled ‘Marry Him! Finding Mr. Real’. Maguire and Mark Ross will produce the movie.

Gottlieb’s article describes her responsibilities as a single mother and how there is no such thing as a dream man.

EXTRAS: For fans of Maguire, no need to worry; he’ll next stars in the Jim Sheridan-directed “Brothers.”
