Tim Miller Directing Sci-Fi Feature SEASONS

Visual fx wiz to helm sci-fi flick.

Sony Pictures has put visual effects artist and Blur studios head honcho Tim Miller in the director’s chair for an adaptation of Joe Haldeman’s 1985 science fiction novella ‘Seasons,’ according to Deadline.

Published as part of Haldeman’s 1985 short story collection ‘Dealing In Futures,’ the novella focuses on “an anthropological expedition to a planet with sentient humanoids that goes horribly awry.”

The adaptation will be penned by Sebastian Gutierrez (‘Snakes On A Plane,’ ‘Gothika’).

Miller, who has yet to make his feature directorial debut, is currently attached to direct ‘Deadpool’ for 20th Century Fox, and an adaptation of the Warren Ellis comic book series ‘Gravel.’ He most recently directed ‘Scanned,’ an epic live-action trailer for ‘Halo 4.’
