Thor scribe plans Freakshow

Mark Protosevich to adapt the comic Freakshow for the big screen

Mark Protosevich, scribe of such films as I am Legend, The Cell and the upcoming Thor movie is planning to adapt the comic Freakshow for the big screen.

 

The story follows five young people who become super-powered mutants thanks to a chemical explosion that kills a city’s only superhero and leads the area to be quaratined, and have to decide whether to focus their efforts on saving what’s left of their home or taking violent revenge on those responsible. The book was created by David Server and Jackson Lanzing with art by Marvel veteran Joe Suitor.


Variety reports that Protosevich may also direct the adaptation of the three-issue FREAKSHOW, which is set to launch in January.
