20th Century Fox has announced, via Deadline, that it has hired screenwriter David James Kelly to tackle the script for the follow-up to James Mangold’s ‘The Wolverine.’

Mangold will return to direct with Hugh Jackman reprising his role as the Ol’ Canucklehead. No plot details have been released.

Penned by Mark Bomback and Scott Frank, the 2013 released ‘The Wolverine’ was made on a estimated budget of $120 million and managed to gross nearly $415 million at the worldwide boxoffice.

Fox has the follow-up pencilled in for a March 2017 release.
