THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Adds Hugh Grant

British actor enlists for spy thriller.

THR is reporting that Hugh Grant has scored a supporting role in Guy Ritchie’s forthcoming big screen take on the classic 1960s spy series ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’

Starring Henry Cavill (‘Man of Steel’) and Armie Hammer (‘The Lone Ranger’), the film follows Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin – two agents of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement who fight against the evil agents of an organization known as THRUSH.

Grant, who was recently seen in Tom Tykwer and Andy and Lana Wachowski’s ‘Cloud Atlas,’ will be playing the head of British Naval Intelligence.

Production on ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ is gearing up for a September start with Alicia Vikander (‘Seventh Son,’ ‘A Royal Affair’) and Elizabeth Debicki (‘The Great Gatsby,’ ‘A Few Best Men’) co-starring.
