THE GREAT GATSBY Party at the Light House Cinema

The Light House Cinema to celebrate the release of THE GREAT GATSBY

To celebrate the upcoming release of Baz Luhrmann’s THE GREAT GATSBY Light House Cinema are throwing a ‘Roaring 20s’ themed party from 7pm on Thursday 16th May followed by special preview screenings of the film in 2D and 3D at 8:30pm.
Guests are invited to dress up in their finest flapper dresses and dapper suits in the spirit of the 1920s Jazz Age and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel. With swing music and special cocktails at the bar, this unique event marks the first day Irish audiences will have to see Luhrmann’s hotly anticipated film on the big screen.
Starring Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, THE GREAT GATSBY follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922; an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy and her philandering, blue-blooded husband. Gradually Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the superrich, their illusions, loves and deceits.
