THE DANISH GIRL Reunites Tom Hooper and Eddie Redmayne

‘Les Mis’ duo reunite for ‘Danish Girl’ adaptation…

Deadline is hearing that Tom Hooper is to reteam with his ‘Les Miserables’ star Eddie Redmayne for ‘The Danish Girl,’ a sex-change drama inspired by David Ebershoff’s 2001 novel of the same name.

Penned by Lucinda Coxon, the film is a love story about Danish painter Einar Wegener and his wife, Gerda. In 1930, Wegener was one of the first men ever to undergo sex reassignment surgery.

Gail Mutrux, who developed the film via her Pretty Pictures banner, will produce alongside Anne Harrison and Linda Reisman. Hooper will co-produce with Working Title’s Fellner and Bevan.
