Latest cast member for the sequel announced.
Director Marc Webb has rounded out the cast of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ enlisting Chris Cooper for the role of Norman Osborn, reports Variety.
Cooper joins a bulging cast that includes returning stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Sally Field, and fellows newcomers Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Waton, Jamie Foxx as Electo, Paul Giamatti as the Rhino, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn and Felicity Jones who is rumoured to be playing Black Cat.
In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ for Peter Parker (Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Production is underway in New York with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach producing. ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ is set to swing into Irish cinemas May 2014.
