Terrence Howard Takes Villain Role Opposite Colin Farrell in DEAD MAN DOWN

Howard to play crime-lord.

Terrence Howard (‘Red Tails,’ ‘Hustle & Flow’) has joined the growing cast of Niels Arden Oplev’s action thriller ‘Dead Man Down,’ taking the role of the antagonist opposite Colin Farrell.

Per Variety, Howard plays Alphonse Hoyt, a charming but brutal crime lord who is accustomed to being feared but is thrown off guard when a mysterious tormenter (Farrell) starts sabotaging his business from within and picks off his men one by one as revenge for the death of his family.

The film, which is slated to begin shooting later this month, will co-star Noomi Rapace (‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’) and Dominic Cooper (‘The Devil’s Double’).
