TERMINATOR Reboot Plans Television Series Tie-in

Series will tie in with upcoming reboot…

Annapurna Pictures’ Megan Ellison and brother David Ellison of Skydance Productions are teaming up to develop a new ‘Terminator’ TV series, with plans to have the series serve as a companion piece to Alan Taylor’s 2015 reboot, says THR.

The way the trade hears it, the TV series will follow “a critical moment from the first Terminator film (1984) and, where the film’s story goes one way, the upcoming series will take the same moment in a completely different direction. As the rebooted film trilogy and the new TV series progress, the two narratives will intersect with each other in some surprising and dramatic ways.”

‘X-Men: First Class’ and ‘Thor’ scribes Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are on board to tackle the script and serve as executive producers alongside Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.
