‘Earth to Echo’ helmer in talks for ‘Turtles’ sequel…

Variety has learned that David Green, the director behind this summer’s family friendly sci-fi ‘Earth to Echo,’ is being lined up to the take the director’s chair for Paramount’s ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ sequel.

Released back in October, the Jonathan Liebesman-directed action adventure brought everyone’s favourite gang of reptilian martial arts masters – Leo, Donnie, Mikey, and Raph – back to big screen to battle Shredder and his evil Foot Clan. The film grossed $478 million worldwide.

Plot details for the sequel are under wraps, however it is believed that fan favourties Bebop and Rocksteady will make an appearance. Megan Fox and Will Arnett are expected to reprise their roles as April O’Neil and Vern Fenwick, respectively.

Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form will once again produce, with Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec providing the script.
