Reboot of the heroes in a half-shell to feature new origin story.

When it was first announced that Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, were planning to reboot the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ franchise, fans were happy.

Things continued to look up when it was then reported that Jonathan Liebesman (‘Wrath of the Titans,’ ‘Battle: Los Angeles,’ ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning’) was in talks to direct from a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Procotol’).

Now something very troubling has emerged. Talking at Nickelodeon Upfront Bay revealed his plans for the movie, and fans are not going to be happy.

“When you see this movie, kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist, when we are done with this movie. These Turtles are from an alien race, and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable.”
