Martin Scorsese and Lars von Trier to make Taxi Driver sequel?
Martin Scorsese and Lars von Trier are reportedly working on a sequel to Taxi Driver.
According to the Danish film magazine Ekko the duo will bring back Robert De Niro to reprise his role as Travis Bickle, a socially maladjusted cab driver who fantasises about cleaning up the streets of New York.
Scorsese has in the past commented on his admiration for von Trier’s work, naming the controversial Danish filmmaker’s Breaking The Waves in his top ten movies of the ’90s.
