Starring Catherine Deneuve and (her real-life daughter) Chiara Mastroianni, this sly and exquisitely romantic musical drama from Christophe Honoré (Love Songs, Dans Paris) spans over three decades as it follows a mother and daughter's misadventures in love. In the ‘60s, Madeleine (Ludivine Sagnier) leaves Paris to re-join her Czech husband Jaromil (Rasha Bukvic) in Prague, but his infidelities and the arrival of Russian tanks in the city lead her back to France. Thirty years later we follow the romance of Madeleine’s daughter, Vera, who falls in love with a musician (Paul Scneider) in London who is incapable of devoting himself to her. Meanwhile in Paris, a re-married Madeleine (Deneuve) has rekindled her love affair with Jaromil (Milos Forman). Louis Garrel and Paul Schneider also star in this light-hearted but ultimately moving exploration of the changing nature of relationships, with music by Alex Beaupain (Love Songs). An elegy to femininity and passion with musical outbursts.

One day, renowned author Charles Saint-Denis is interviewed at the television station where Gabrielle works, and the two feel an instant, powerful connection. Later, at a book signing, the pair continues to flirt despite the presence of a spoiled, ultra-rich, pharmaceutical heir, Paul Gaudens -- who openly despises the writer and longs to claim Gabrielle as his own. Despite the fact that Charles is still happily married to his wife of 25 years, with whom he shares a home in a posh ultra-modern estate in the countryside, he and Gabrielle share an intimate afternoon at the author's nearby pied-a-terre. Later, as the potentially psychotic Paul steps up his pursuit of Gabrielle, the young woman begins to question the purity of intention of either of her suitors.

  • Moliere

This bawdy French comedy is a re-imagination of the life and times of Molière, one of the great writers of his generation. We join the story when Molière is an impetuous 22 year-old, his theatre troupe is a failure, he is bankrupt and in prison because he can't pay his debts. It is mid-17th century Paris and Molière is a long way from realizing his legacy as the father and true master of comic satire. His release from prison, we discover, is funded by wealthy Monsieur Jourdain who grants Molière his freedom only in return for tutoring. Jourdain is a buffoon, and he enlists Molière to help him woo the affection of a French Countess with a series of love letters. At the same time, the young Molière is entwined in a secret love affair with Jourdain's wife, and if that's not complicated enough, he is also trying to stop Jourdain's daughter from eloping with her secret boyfriend.
