Sylvester McCoy confirmed for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit
Sylvester McCoy has reportedly been offered a role in Peter Jackson’s upcoming adaptation of The Hobbit.
The former Doctor Who star revealed at Auckland’s Armageddon Expo that he has accepted the role of the wizard Radagast the Brown in the prequel to The Lord of the Rings.
Previously confirmed cast members include Martin Freeman, whill will play Bilbo Baggins, British TV stars Richard Armitage, Rob Kazinsky and Aidan Turner.
David Tennant, James Nesbitt, Stephen Fry, Bill Nighy and Saoirse Ronan are also reportedly in talks to join the films.
