Superman star signs on to Dylan Dog

Shot primarily from a helicopter, filmmaker Peter Mettler’s “Petropolis: Aerial Perspectives on the Alberta Tar Sands” offers an unparalleled view of the world’s largest industrial, capital and energy project.

Superman Returns actor Brandon Routh has signed on to the lead role in an adaptation of the supernatural comic book Dylan Dog.

Director Kevin Munroe, who helmed last year’s ‘TMNT’ will direct the live-action feature based on this Italian comic.

‘Dylan Dog’ is a penniless nightmare investigator who defies the whole preceding horror tradition with a vein of surrealism and an anti-bourgeois rhetoric. The true monsters in many of these stories are human beings

TIDBIT: This will mark the second time that Dylan Dog has made his way to the screen; he appeared in alter-ego form in the likable 1994 cult film Dellamorte Dellamore aka Cemetery Man starring Rupert Everett (who is said to have originally inspired the character’s look).
