Steven Spielberg to Bring A STEADY RAIN

Filmmaker interested in adapting Broadway play.

Talking to ComingSoon.net, Hugh Jackman said that Steven Spielberg is looking to adapt Keith Huff’s Broadway play ‘A Steady Rain’ for a big screen outing.

The story centers on two Chicago police officers who are longtime partners and best friends. During a domestic disturbance call, the partners inadvertently return a frightened Vietnamese boy to a man who says he is the boy’s uncle. The uncle turns out to be a cannibalistic serial killer, who eats the boy. The lifelong friendship of the two men is threatened when it becomes clear someone must bear responsibility for their deadly error in judgment.

The play, which ran for 12 weeks back in 2009, starred Jackman and Daniel Craig, it is more likely the actors would reprise their role for Spielberg’s movie adaptation.
