‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ helmer directing cop comedy…
Steve Pink (‘Hot Tub Time Machine,’ ‘About Last Night’) is take the director’s chair for MGM’s recently acquired comedy ‘Cop Swap.’
Per Deadline, the comedy is based on the real international exchange program and follows “an ensemble of cops from foreign cities, all misfits in their home police forces,” who travel to America for a year-long internship with the LAPD. There, under the leadership of an American misfit cop, they stumble upon a major crime.
Pink will directing from a script he co-wrote with writing partner Jeff Morris. Nicky Weinstock and Whitney Thomas of Invention Films are producing.
